As the trainer for Furry Tail Dog Training, I understand the importance of a well behaved dog, and your desire to have your dog accepted in society. A strong behavioral foundation is key for any dog to succeed in day-to-day life challenges that may lie ahead. In my classes, your dog will learn basic obedience cues that will build your dogs confidence where ever you may take him and in stressful situations such as vet visits, grooming, and meeting new people. Proper training and socialization skills reduces the possibility of injuries, bites, or re-homing a dog.
Furry Tail Dog Training is a basic obedience dog training program utilizing positive reinforcement techniques. This type of training creates a dog whose primary motivation is based on earning rewards, as opposed to avoiding a punishment. The goal is to teach you to look at your dog as an individual, and use whatever your dog likes, to reward him whenever he does a desired behavior. This is a fun way motivate both you and your dog without causing any unnecessary stress or frustration.
Eight classes are offered: Pup Prep, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Dog Walking, Puppy Potty Training and two separate Life Classes. Learning basic obedience is an important foundation for your dog's future. In these classes, I help you teach your dog how to handle basic life situations by using basic obedience cues. I will also help familiarize your pet with tools such as tooth brushes, nail trimmers, and brushing teeth. Once you have signed up for any class, you are invited to join Furry Tail Dog Training's Students and Graduates Facebook group. After completing a 6 week course, you will receive a graduation photo of your dog and follow-ups on your training progress. In addition to these basic commands, I will provide solutions to common everyday problems such as digging, barking, counter surfing, and more. And of course what is a better way to bond with your dog than with games and fun tricks to show off to family and friends?
